Don't hire this middle man

I'm VERY unhappy with my experience with Red Carpet. First off, you're not hiring Red Carpet to transport your vehicle, you're hiring them to hire someone else. I didn't realize this until after I placed my order and it was 3 days before my car was scheduled to be picked up and I was sent the carrier driver's info.
The driver got my front bumper caught on the ramp while backing it off at the delivery and left scratches and a gash/tear in it. He marked it as a scratch on the paperwork. After arguing with him over and over, I reluctantly agreed to sign because he said as soon as their insurance adjuster looked at the location of the damage on the paperwork, then looked at the location on the vehicle, they will see the extent of the damage. This part is my fault because I was nieve enough to believe him because this was my first time transporting my vehicle and I thought I had hired an honest company.
Well, after speaking to Tige at Red Carpet, the driver lied about anything and everything. He said the damage was already there, when it clearly wasn't on the paperwork when I dropped the car off. He denied any incident at all even happening. He elso denied his wife accompanying him and assisting with the loading and unloading which she was. We had a whole conversation about how nice it was that she traveled with him when I dropped my car off with him. I later found out that it is against their company policy and insurance for her to even be in the cab!
After back and forth for over a month between Tige from Red Carpet and the Manager/Owner of the other company, they agreed to cover the damages but when it came time to writing the check, they disappeared. I never spoke to an insurance adjuster from them, as they had said they would cover the cost out of pocket b/c it was about the same as their deductible. Neither I nor Red Carpet have been able to get them to call back after another month of trying. I spoke with the manager of Red Carpet and she told me that all they can do is keep trying and they are not responsable for the damages. I asked what they would do if they never called back and she told me to have my lawyer call them.
Bottom Line: RED CARPET DOES NOT ACTUALLY TRANSPORT YOUR VEHICLE THEMSELVES. Their paperwork in the beginning may say "we" but it doesn't really mean Red Carpet. RED CARPET DOESN'T GUARANTEE THE JOB. If the company that did the damage won't pay, Red Carpet throws up their hands and walks away. What quality company does this?? Take my advise and hire a company that does the work THEMSELVES and has a high ranking. That way you know they are proud of actually transporting vehicles themselves and don't just hand off the jobs and then turn their head the other way.
