Everything went very smooth. Pick-up was within 3 days. This was great. I was however charged a deposit before the vehicle was actually picked up. But only by 4 hours or so. I only mention this because their web site points out that no deposit will be charged prior to actual pick up. It was however, same day. So that's close enough. There was also a mix up on their end concerning my method of payment, but they made it right in the end. Just a minor oversight. Return phone calls to messages left were infrequent and slow to come. I also sent emails that were never answered. I would suggest not to leave voice mails or send emails. Just keep calling until you speak to a live person if you need an update. Speaking of this, I did not get any progress reports. I thought this was standard as I have shipped other vehicles before and received some reports and updates. Not a big deal though. I knew it was on its way, and besides the Christmas holiday took place during my transit. The holidays are always a wild card when you are trying to get things done.
Anyway they scored big where it counts. Because the most important part of my experience is the vehicle arrived safe and unharmed and in a timely manner. The driving crew was very professional and had a safe well maintained modern looking transport truck. They appeared to have pride in their work and were pleasant to deal with. Red Carpet is in my hometown (Vancouver,WA. USA) so Sheilaa was on hand with me to receive delivery. She was also very nice and professional. She assured me that per company policy my vehicle was never moved or driven off the truck. And it appeared she was dead on because my vehicle was not even dirty! She also told me how they only use reputable crews who meet or exceed all the safety requirements put forth by Red Carpet. It sounds like they hold the crews they use to higher standards than other brokers.
Overall, Red Carpet scored high marks with me. Only a few minor snags. But the bottom line is I have my new pick-up and it is "safe and sound". It came clear across the country unharmed and in excellent condition and barely needed to be washed. For me that is worth every penny!
