Great Service from Tanner/Philam Transport

After an exhaustive search, in August, 2010 I used Tanner/Philam to transport my newly-purchased antique Porsche from the buyer's storage facility in Pasadena, CA to my home in Chicago.

At first I wanted to avoid using a broker, preferring to work directly with the carrier, but I quickly discovered that this was a hugely difficult task to coordinate. Even when I finally found one, after I pressed them I discovered they wouldn't guarantee that they alone would handle the car the entire trip, and/or leave the car in a terminal for some period of time en route.

The other thing I found was the highest end carriers wanted as much as double the cost Tanner was able to find.

Tanner was very up front, honest and extremely responsive throughout the entire process. He was never more than a quick phone call away, which came in handy b/c there was a problem when the first shipper he located showed up with a soft-top carrier instead of the hard-top we had agreed. Tanner immediately resolved the problem, fired the original shipper, and found a replacement who got my car to me by the original delivery date.
