Gilbert got me a truck when I needed it. Communication was generally solid. I'd say that he did a great job in keeping the cost down. It was a full 30% cheaper than going with a mover ($2100). However, the mover would have provided a cover and allowed me to choose the pick-up day. Going through Philam and similar brokers means that you have to be flexible. That also meant that I had to rent a car for 3 days, so that definitely eats into the savings. All said, I'd probably go with Philam or a similar service next time around too.
