I recently shipped two vehicles with two brokers at almost the same time, so I can make a first-hand comparison of experiences. One was Joanne Parker. Everything went smooth except the pick up was a day early than expected, which made me to rent a car for an extra day. I will this company again, because my experience with two brokers told me that a smaller broker company like Joanne's might be better... because they may have tighter relationship with their drivers and being drivers themselves also helps.
But another thing I realized that, regardless of the company you choose, you need a little bit of luck for your deal to go smooth. Becuase even with the well-reviewed companies snags may be hit.
So good luck to readers who's head is hurting now to make a choice! Here's my advice for you: read the reviews, gather 2 or 3 quotes from companies with a good reputation, then go with the best (lowest) price.
