My entire experience with this auto transport company has been awful. They are extremely unprofessional as well as liars and thieves. I was looking to ship my car from New Jersey to Florida when I received a phone call from a guy named Anthony (I was never able to obtain his last name) with Park Avenue Direct Auto Transport LLC. Anthony sounded extremely enthusiastic on the phone when he told me that he had a "great deal" for me and that he could ship my car for only $400. I had been in contact with several other auto transport companies and the cheapest quote I had gotten thus far had been $500. I am a college student and I don't have a lot of extra money to spend and so this sounded like an amazing deal. I knew there had to be a catch for the quote being so cheap in comparison to all the other companies and so I asked Anthony why his prices were so low. He explained to me that he was a private broker and that is why he was able to get drivers to do the job for a lower price. I don't know much about shipping cars and so I bought his lies. I signed an online agreement to deposit $150 and we made a deal that I would give the driver the other $250 when he delivered my vehicle. I didn't realize at the time that nowhere on the agreement did it state how much I owed the driver. The car was supposed to be picked up last Sunday but Anthony never gave me an exact time that the driver would come by. I was calling him the entire weekend, I left several voicemails, and never received a response. Sunday came around and no one picked up my vehicle. I called again on Monday and Anthony finally answered and told me that he had taken the weekend off and that is why he never responded to my calls. He explained that because of the snow his drivers were unable to get to New Jersey and he told me that he would call me back within 2 minutes and let me know when my vehicle would be picked up. I waited another day, still no response and I had to once again contact him. He made up yet another excuse about the snow and never called me back. By this point I was back at college in Florida and my father called me on Saturday saying that he received a phone call from a woman and that the car was being picked up that day. Yesterday, my vehicle arrived in Florida (very prompt) but I was in for a huge surprise. The truck driver told me that I owed him $500, money which I did not agree to pay, nor which I had. Initially I was furious with the truck driver, blaming him and thinking that it was his fault that I was being cheated. The driver showed me his agreement, which did indeed say that the COD was $500. (I had never seen nor signed such an agreement, the only one I signed was the online deposit of $150). The truck driver did not have any connection to the brokers and that was just the contract he had received. I had no other option but to borrow money from friends and pay $500 to get my car back. I called Anthony last night and left him 2 voicemails expressing my anger and disappointment. He didn't even have the courtesy to call me back (he has never returned any phone calls) and instead I received an e-mail stating exactly this "sorry about that but if you read your agreement ''''WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THE COD PRICE'''' IT IS 500.00 COD TO THE DRIVER." I realized that I was lied to, I signed a faulty agreement, and my money was stolen from me. I called Anthony once again today and he was extremely rude to me on the phone, he fed me a bunch on lies, and he hung up on the phone on me. I personally am a very honest person and I stick to my word. I promised Anthony that I would expose him, and that is exactly what I intend to do. Anthony's Broker's license number in MC-717657. His contact number is 9546884613. This is all the information I know about him, besides that he is a liar and a thief. I highly recommend that you don't use this company to transport your vehicles so that you don't have the same awful experience that I did.
