Problem with PalSol Transportation

Car was picked up promptly and arrived a day early. However, the carrier was over legal weight and was forced to unload the car at a Port of Entry on the interstate before reaching the designated delivery location. This happened on a Sunday morning while I was out of town.

A state official from the Port of Entry was able to reach my son who came and picked up the car and paid the trucker. (Incidentally, my son got a pretty poor grade on this business transaction as well)

When I arrived home, I found that the upper portion of the trunk had been crunched (I have pictures from the loading operation in Florida that clearly show no damage in this area). Matters were made worse by an attempt to conceal the damage by'pounding it out from the interior of the trunk. This made what might have been fixed by a $150 dent pull into a $1500 body and paint blend job - not to mention trashing the fasteners that held the interior trim in place.

I contacted his insurance carrier who said that, due to a $2500 deductible, I'd have to deal directly with the trucking company - which is, as near as I can tell, one man in a truck with a cell phone. After my first call, the trucker has refused to answer the phone or to return my calls.

Oh, did I mention that I found four one gallon jugs of DelVac heavy duty diesel oil left in the trunk of the car as well.

The broker I used was Domestic Auto Transport (the transport order # provided above is from Domestic Auto Transport). They have been sympathetic but unable and/or unwilling to get the damage covered. They did indicate that PalSol will never carry for them again. I am posting this review in hopes that other auto transport brokers will also blacklist this carrier in order to eliminate a blight on the reputation of the industry.
