Nightmare Transport driver

Purchased a car from an auto dealership in MO. The dealership chose to use OK Auto Carrier, all I was given is the information of the transport company once the car had left the dealership. I called OK's dispatch to see if I could get and ballpark ETA, they referred me to the driver and gave me his phone number. So, I waited until the following day to contact the driver (Alex). My first contact with Alex was pointless, he said he didn't know when the car would arrive. When I asked Alex for a ballpark ETA he said he had no idea when he would arrive. Alex was more focused on reminding me on making sure I had payment ready. Next thing I know he had mumbled something and hung up. I decided calling him back would only further frustrate me. So, I called the dealership from which I purchased my car and informed them of my conversation with the driver they hired for the transport. The dealership was apologetic and said they would follow up with OK AutoCarriers. Later that afternoon I get a call from Alex who says my car is on Backlick rd, which is a few miles from my home, and I need to come pick up the car. I said he was supposed to deliver it to my home but Alex said he had to take the car off the tailor to get to another car he was delivering at Backlick Rd and that it is too much work to put it back on the trailer just to take it back off again. Alex said sarcastically that " it's not like moving toy cars around and that I have no idea how hard his job is" Alex also said that I should drive cross country with him so I could see how hard his job is. Alex repeatedly said I should be thanking him instead of giving him a hard time. I asked how I was giving him a hard time, because I couldn't pick up the car where he was current at. I explain to Alex that I was home alone and can't drive up there and drive two cars back home at the same time. Alex said he would drive my purchased car and follow me home and then I could take him back to his transport truck. I told him he was not insured to drive the car, just to transport it. I was frustrated at this point and Alex continued to remind me that I should be thanking him that he delivered my car. I said I paid for delivery to my home and that is what is expected at this point. He sarcastically says " oh, okay you want front door service". I reminded him of my situation and being unable to drive two cars back home...after more bantering Alex says begrudgingly that he will put the car back on the carrier and deliver it to my home, but that it would take a while so don't expect him anytime soon. Ten minutes later I see him driving the car down my street towards my home. He never put the car back on the transport tailor but instead drove it several miles to my home, exactly what I had insisted he not do! Alex pulls up to my driveway and gets out with a chip on his shoulder. I said, did you drive the car instead of putting it back on the tailor? Alex said "YES, you got a problem with that?" I said yes I did have a problem with that since he ignored my request not to drive the car from that other location and that he wasn't insured to drive the car. I wanted to call the OK Transport company but its Sunday and no one is answering, just a recording, so I looked over the car and continue to get talked down to by Alex who is telling me to sign the paperwork so he can go. I want to inspect the car but Alex keeps reminding me I am holding him up. Alex starts again with the "I should be thanking him" statement. Alex says I shouldn't inspect the car for damage since it's not a good car and will need lots of repairs. I continue to inspect his unreadable paperwork with illegible writing that Alex can't even decipher. Alex takes the liberty of telling me that I am old and that I should be wise with experience and understand his difficult job and thank him for delivering my car. I stand there in amazement listening to Alex ramble on about how hard his job is. I reminded Alex that I paid for a delivery service and that his responsibilities were paid when I gave him the $850 to deliver the car as per the contract, I didn't need to know about his unhappiness with his job. Alex continued to push me to sign the paperwork so he could get on with his other deliveries. I was still trying to decipher his damage diagram notes. About 15 minutes later I gave up and signed the paperwork out of frustration since I couldn't make sense of Alex's notes about the car damage, neither could Alex. I was assuming he could but didn't want me to hold him up any longer. After signing the paperwork and giving him a bank cashiers check I watched Alex jog up my street to meet his other coworker who was parked on the side of the street with the car carrier. I thought to myself, why could he have just put the car back on the carrier and driven to my home, I told him I was willing to wait... But it seemed Alex didn't want to. So I get in the car and notice the steering column is very loose and crunching sounds from the steering column when I turn the steering wheel. I call the dealership point of contact who reminds me he test drove the care and that the steering of my cars hold be normal, as he had experienced in his test drive before shipping the car. I explain that the steering column can be moved vertical and horizontal as if something has been disconnected inside the column. The Dealership representative said the steering was normal when the car left his dealership. Considering I didn't see the car taken off the transport or see what may have transpired in the driving of the car by Alex, I cannot confirm that Alex had nothing to do with the steering issue my car was now afflicted with but it now made sense why Alex kept repeating and repeating, to me during my inspection delivery process, that HE was not responsible for any mechanical issues with the car. The Dealership is working with me to get the car repaired and said they will follow up with OK Auto Carriers about my car issues and the whole delivery nightmare process. I recommended that the Dealership not use this transport company in the future since it ruined my purchase experience, at least on the delivery end of the experience. To sum it up, I paid $850 for a delivery nightmare.
