Brace yourself for this long review... My girlfriend and I bought a tiny school bus in Illinois, and needed to get it back to Massachusetts, where we are planning to convert it into our home. We initially contacted a very large shipping company we found online, and got a quote that sounded really cheap. As we communicated with the company more we found them to lack transparency about their billing process, and they tried to run an initial charge on our card that we had not been informed of ahead of time. We dug deeper into their reviews, and discovered a nightmarish picture of how they did business, cars disappearing, no vehicle protection, false price quotes to lock in your business, the list of problems goes on. Kicking ourselves for not really digging through the reviews ahead of time, we cancelled with them and searched for another company to go with. We then found Nationwide United. We read just about every review we could find on them, and decided to give them a shot. We called and spoke with Ben. He was super helpful, very patient with my excessive questions, and upfront about everything. Their price quote was around what we were expecting for shipping a bus that distance. You might find their price quote a little higher then the initial quotes from other companies, but that’s because it is an honest quote, not a low-ball quote just to lock in your business. The initial quote from Nationwide was never changed on us. Ben kept us informed throughout the process, and was super quick to organize a truck for transport. When the truck arrived with our bus, the driver who delivered it was both friendly and professional. If we ever have to ship something again, we will use Nationwide United. Thanks for delivering our home to us! :)
