Smooth shipping, but mixed feelings

Setting up the initial quote with the rep was incredibly easy, and within 30 minutes I had two offers at the price range promised. I was pretty impressed at that point, given that I called on a Friday afternoon and was able to get a promised pickup for Monday. Unfortunately, that's the last interaction I had with Nationwide. They took my credit card info and I was promised a call back confirming the date and time for the pickup. Never got a call. Tentative shipping day came, called the rep twice (was actually transfered to her voicemail even after explaining my situation to another representative) and sent two emails when I hadn't heard anything from Nationwide or the driver. I never got a reply back.

The driver did finally call around 5:30 that evening to say he was 30 minutes away. At that point I'd given up for the day and wasn't able to get to the car until the morning. Driver agreed to pick it up the next morning, and the pickup process went smoothly. The car was delivered a week later, and the drop off process was just as easy.

Nationwide's website reads "We will do anything to make sure it is a pleasant experience." All it would have taken was a phone call for them to have lived up to that promise and for this to have been a 5-star review, but getting charged $200 and being left totally in the dark after multiple attempts to make contact is a pretty uncomfortable experience. Ultimately, however, Nationwide did source the shipping to a dependable company, and compared to the horror stories I've heard with other carriers the process could have been far worse.
