We contracted with Nationwide to transport two vehicles to Georgia. Nationwide sub-contracted with K1 Transport, Arvada, CO. When K1 delivered our vehicles to our home in Georgia, they had been loaded under two cars with heavy front end damage, even though we were assured our vehicles would be top load. Trim and paint on both of our vehicles was damaged by fluid from the "salvage"vehicles above. When speaking with David, owner of K1 Transport, he threatened me and told his driver to put our vehicles back on his transport. The driver decided not to do this when police were being called and he quickly exited the neighborhood. Nationwide denied any assistance except to refer us to Progressive Insurance, who insure K1 Transport. Since K1 Transport would not cooperate with Progressive nor supply them with the name of their driver, Progressive said they could not help and denied our claim. Progressive told us since WE did not take photos of the license plate on the delivery truck and only supplied them with photos of the truck and DOT numbers, we could not prove the truck belonged to their insured, although all documentation to include a canceled check indicated K1 Transport was the sub-contractor for Nationwide. When I spoke with Karen at Nationwide she assured me she would help resolve the problem then never would respond to any of my inquiries for an update. She also would not respond to my request for a contact person in management. Nationwide Transportation has left us to seek repairs via our own insurance company, which the claim will have a negative effect on our rates. Nationwide Transportation continues to avoid accepting any responsibility, even though K1 Transport was selected by them and we had no say in the matter. Don't use Nationwide Transport. They cannot be trusted to do the right thing!
