Shipment Good, Cust Service Awful

When I booked the car for shipment, the representative told me that there was an "earliest pickup date" and that the car would be picked up within 1-3 days of that date. On day 5, the car still was not picked up and I had flight plans that I had to change because of this. It is stressful enough to move across the country, but having to change all of my final plans was dreadful.

When I called National Transport, the tone suddenly was changed to be very defensive. I was told to read certain parts of the contract, and that there was no guarantee of an exact pickup date. So even if it were a week or more late, they said they are "not liable". It all got very "legalese" when they missed the pickup date. Then upon speaking to a supervisor, I was told that "weekends do not count in the time estimate", despite the delivery agreement having the earliest date ON THE WEEKEND.

National Transport failed in customer service. Rather than attempt to work with me, just seemed to brush me off. And they themselves seemed confused on details in the paperwork. The representative there complained to me that a "fax did not arrive", then was looking at someone else's order, and generally seemed confused. This is extremely poor for shipping a vehicle.


The car arrived okay. The actual carrier (Mozdok Trans) was courteous and professional, and I would use them again. However, I cannot recommend National Transport. I won't be using them again after how their customer service treated me.
