I didn't pick them

I hired 360 Auto Transport to ship our 65 Corvette to Great Falls, MT where we would meet to pick-up our car (we're in Canada). Because of the delivery location 360 had to sublet our contract to Motion Express. At first I simply communicated with 360 as they seemed to have the situation under control, however, after our car was picked up, I recieved a call from the driver (who I could barely understand through his mumbled accent) to confirm the delivery date and location which was not at all what I had been told from 360.

Before the vehicle was even picked up, I made it clear that we were unable to meet the driver for delivery until the weekend (any weekend). 360 understood this and from my contact with them, so too did Motion Express. However, when I spoke to the driver, he told me he would be there Wednesday at noon and could not wait. So I phoned 360 and Ann got right on top of the error, called me back and said that she was assured that the driver would meet us Saturday morning. I phoned the dirver to confirm and he said that he would leave it in storage and we could pick it up there.

I definatley didn't want my car in storage! Parts could be stolen or damaged and what about the drivers preliminary inspection? What if something was seriously wrong? I would have zero recourse. The car needed restoration, but there were loose parts being shipped in the car and a number of very valuable parts that could easily have been stripped. So, I phoned Ann again. She was having the same problem I was with different stories so I looked up the company here (and immediately became more worried from the mixed reviews) for their number. Then Motion called me direct to confirm that THE DRIVER would meet me Saturday morning. Ann followed up that they had called me and then I called the dirver to confirm and he too said that HE would meet me Sat morn. He also told me to make the money order out to his name (Yuriy Koval); yeah right. I called Motion to see who to address it too and sure enough they said "Motion Express". This only made me more agitated about who was handling my car.

So Saturday morning, quarter to eleven, we were waiting in the Flying J's truck stop where we were supposed to meet, I phoned the driver to let him know we were there and what vehicle we were driving. No answer. I tried again, no answer. Then we see our car arriving on a flat deck, looks ok, and i'm a bit relieved. But the driver had no accent ... THEY LEFT IT IN A STORAGE YARD!!!! The owner of the storage yard came along and we chatted with them for a bit, nothing obvious was missing and they seemed trustworthy so my anger subsided. And to Motion's credit, they covered the storage and towing charges.

After we got the vehicle home however, there were parts missing that were supposed to have come with the vehicle and the windshield was cracked. If this was the fault of the guy we bought the car from or from the shipping company itself, I have no idea because I had no opportuntiy to speak with the driver and there was no preliminary review of any kind. The people I spoke with at Motion Express were difficult to understand (it could have been one person but they mumbled so I don't know) and were rude and the driver was obviously dishonest. I was lied to on numerous occasions and 360 told me they made it clear that we were unable to pick up the car until the weekend when they handed over the contract, so why they took the contract when they were unable (or unwilling) to meet those requirements is beyond me. Money I guess. Nothing I can do about it!

I will never use Motion Express and I will ward all who ask away from them. Learn a little respect and customer service guys. And maybe do some criminal checks on your drivers.
