Montway for Security

This was my 1st time shipping a car, & I had plenty of apprehensions & a very tight budget. I started with another company (Summit Transport Group) & had a very bad experience that I'm still battling with. After that experience, I wanted security above anything, & was willing to pay a bit more for it. Thankfully Montway (with their high reviews, professionalism, knowledge of the field, accessibility, & communication) gave me that security, & I didn't have to pay a lot more for it.

I was driving from another city (from Huntsville, AL to Nashville, TN), & wanted to get my car shipped from Nashville before I got on my flight (which was leaving from Nashville). Because I didn't live in Nashville, & had to catch my flight (which was on a Wednesday afternoon), I let Montway know I would prefer to get it picked up Wednesday morning, but if not, Tuesday evening. Montway worked with me & gave me the security that I desperately needed, especially with my bad previous experience, my tight budget, & my tight schedule. They found a driver in a matter of hours, with a company name & driver name. It wasn't some obscure "we found a driver", it was "here's your driver & his info". I was very thankful for the transparency.

The driver agreed to pick it up Tuesday initially. Then I pushed on seeing about Wednesday morning (simply for my convenience sake- I didn't want to drive into another city a day earlier than I had to). Montway went about checking with the driver & he agreed to a Wednesday morning pickup. I was so excited that everything was falling together!

Monday & Tuesday came & I had been continually calling the transportation company (Lego Transportation) to see about the car pick-up time. They couldn't even give me an estimate, & kept saying they'd let me know. I would've loved a lot more of a forewarning, especially since I was driving out of town. Tuesday evening they finally let me know that my driver was in California & it'd be a while. I was pretty annoyed, I had asked for a specific pickup & they agreed to it & they were in CALIFORNIA. Thankfully, I had a friend that agreed to take my car in Nashville so I could catch my flight. Which was also a major inconvenience specifically since I couldn't give my friend a specific (or even general) time/day in which the driver would be coming. Thankfully, my friend had a more flexible schedule as a college student, but it'd have been damn near impossible if the only friends I had in the city were working full time, because flexibility is definitely key here.

But to cut a long story short, the driver finally came that Friday. They estimated a 2-3 day delivery time, from Nashville, TN to Philadelphia, PA. I didn't get my car until that next Wednesday, and this was after they first said Monday, then Tuesday, then Wednesday. My car did have 2 slight dents on the top, mud over the sides on the car, a wet spill in the driver's side carpet, & muddy paw prints over the back of the car (maybe like a wolf was creeping on my car). But I don't really mind those aesthetic issues, it's an older car.

At the end of the day, it is really important to have a flexible schedule with the whole process. I give Montway 4 stars for the security of mind, the clear communication, the fast turnover time, & the reasonably cheap quote. Most of my issues were more so with the driver they dispatched, Lego Transportation. But overall it was a pleasurable experience & worth the cost.
