I choose Mercury Auto Transport initially because of their low price. My quote to transport my vehicle from Georgia to Utah was $750. However that was a mistake. Here are SOME PROMBLES I encounter:

1. I placed my order June 15, 2009 two weeks before the date I want my vehicle to be move on June 27, 2009. During that time period I heard NOTHING from the company regarding the status of my order.

2. From the period of June 22, 2009 through June 29, 2009 I continue to call and was told by Sheri that she will work on my order immediately and call me back. THERE WAS NO CALL BACK and NO CARRIER/DRIVER LOCATED and was told MY QUOTE BY WAS WRONG by Mitch and to move my vehicle my NEW QUOTE would be $950. Their reason was because the gas price has changed from the time I placed my order. My argument- if the company would work on my order during the two weeks period before my available date the price wouldn’t have change.

3. Frustrated by their service I called to cancel and went with a different company. 1 hour later Sheri called to say a carrier/driver was located to move my vehicle on July 2, 2009. (5 days after when I want my vehicle to be move. Funny how it took canceling for the company to do their work.) Two hours later I called back to accept and was told the carrier changed their route. I decided not do my business with their company and mid-sentence I was HANG UP ON by the dispatcher Jill.

4. The company’s manger Scott called to apologize and to offer all of their service (It all little too late for that) and suggest that I didn’t have to be there for the driver. I could hide my keys somewhere on the car for the driver or to drop my keys off at the leasing office where I was renting. (What dumb suggestions, what if my vehicle got stolen, is the company going to be responsible for their “suggestions.”?

5. I believe my phone number was screen to a no answer by their customer service after repeated calls by me and when I try calling their company with my husband’s phone, my call was answered right away. (So, if you use this company and call multiple times and your call is not answered try using a different phone.)

THE BOTTOM LINE:

- This company advertised the low price to make their company attractive but their quote price are only “estimated price” and if they don’t get working on your order and gas price change you’re responsible for the increase. I was success in finding a carrier/driver with Direct Express Auto Transport the same day I placed my order June 29,2009 and my vehicle is being up pick this afternoon June 30, 2009 for “new” price Mercury Auto Transport was asking. This company will LIE to you about working on your order to keep your business and their effort was a JOKE.

- I am a military wife to all military’s wife out there and everyone else to avoid the frustrating and headache I went through I HIGH RECOMMEND using Direct Express Auto Transport http://www.autotransportdirect.com phone: 1-800-600-3750. Their prices are set and customer service is excellent.
