Please schedule a better time

I'm glad I got my car in one piece. There are a couple of issues that I want to address.
I was contacted with the time frame of when the car could be picked up. As my friend was helping me ship my car, she had to schedule a time for the pickup. The first scheduled time was optimal. However, for some reason, the driver could not pick up the car on that day. So my friend contacted the company to reschedule. She specifically said not to do it on a certain day because of an exam scheduled for that day which would take around 4 hours. For some reason, she was then asked about the specifics of the exam, such as what it was for, why it would take that long. Anyway, she was later contacted and found out that that was the day the car had to be picked up. So my friend had to bother another friend to help me with that.
I was told early on that I would have to pay the driver up front in cash. But I was told by my friend that the driver had no idea. Perhaps he was new, I don't know. Luckily, they provided a receipt indicating that I/my friend had paid so that I wouldn't be charged twice.
Last thing. I would suggest the drivers to be more familiar with driving a manual. My car's a manual, and the driver drove my car to me for convenience sake, which was very nice of him. But the car smelled of the clutch and I quite doubt that it was because of me.
