I arranged for shipping of a car I purchased on ebay through Magic Carpet on December 24, 2010. The broker put it out on the board and had a failrly quick response however, the seller did not have the car ready as I was told. I relayed everything I knew to Greg when I knew it. The seller had the car ready on January 4 and the car was supposed to ship on January 7 per the dispatch email I received with a delivery date of January 15. The car was actually picked up on January 11 and arrived on January 17. Greg Bailey was very good to talk to on the phone but the car did not get picked up as per the magic carpet email. The delay I was told was caused by the drivers truck breaking down. This delayed the pickup as his truck was in a shop all weekend, On monday, January 10, the car was supposed to be picked up and the driver said one of his customers was not ready which delayed him another day. I did not get any of this from the driver but it was communicated to me by Greg. Given the delays I cannot give an exellent review of the transaction. Greg is extremely professional and easy to talk to but there were a number of things that occurred that prevent me from giving a higher review. One other thing I had to do was pay a higher amount of money I was quoted as Greg said he needed to pay the driver more to get him to pick up the car. Perhaps Greg had a difficult job to get someone to pickup the car but I had a number of other carriers contacting me that would arrange for shipping of the vehicle for $200 less. I went ahead and paid more as I just wanted to get the car and be done.

Greg Bailey Greg@MagicCarpetAutoTransport.com....Bob...As a broker, I can only deal with the information provided to me by my customer. In your case, had your purchased 280z been available for pickup on the date you provided it would have been transported within the first four days of placing your order. When our driver showed up to transport your vehicle, Tom advised him that he was still making repairs to the car and it would not be available until the end of the week. When it was finally available for pickup, our drivers truck was in the shop receiving routine repairs and in fact your 280z was picked up at the beginning of the week and delivered to you timely, at a rate of $65 less than your initial quote. You were never charged an additional $200 for any part of this service and one would think that you would understand how unforseen vehicle repairs can sometimes affect our transit as your 280z slowed done your order for more than a week. I went above and beyond to ensure a smooth transition after your vehicle was ready..but alas...your repairs are out of my control.
