I decided to go with Magic Carpet Auto Transport because of all of the positive reviews for customer service on this website. My experience however, was not positive.

I had requested weekend pick up and was told the truck would come on Sunday. After my contacts had waited all day on Sunday I had to call my contact (Michelle H.) to find out why the car hadn't been picked up. She didn't answer, but I was able to get a hold of the shipping company directly. Long story short, they said the driver would come on Monday. Same story on Monday, had to call at the end of the day I could only get a hold of the shipping company. Pick up was delayed once again until Tuesday. Same story on Tuesday until about 5pm when the driver called and said he would be able to pick up our vehicle that night around 11pm. When the rep finally got back to me, she tried to tell me that my contact responsible for releasing the car would not release. This was not true. I told her she was misinformed and that I had already been working with the shipping company directly.

The entire time my car was en route, I never got an update as to its location or expected delivery day (since it was picked up 3 days late). After a week, I reached out to my rep at Magic Carpet to get an update and didn't hear anything. I got in touch with the shipping company, and they told me it would be coming the next day between 1-4pm. The car arrived at 7:30pm. Aside from not being responsive, my Magic Carpet rep was also not honest. I was told that my credit card would not be charged until after my car was picked up. It was charged immediately.

This was my first experience shipping a car cross country. I was willing to pay a little more for the best and thought I was getting that with Magic Carpet, but based on my experience, would not use them again.
