While Magic Carpet did respond promptly to our inquiries, the communication between us, Magic Carpet and the trucker/carrier was quite poor. The trucker set up a date for pickup but then arrived unexpectedly the day before and expected us to drop everything to deliver the car with 15 minutes notice. The trucker then called back multiple times over the next 30 minutes, changing locations and times each time. He then took over an hour to actually load the truck and did not communicate well about what he was doing at the time.
While I understand that Magic Carpet does not hire the truckers, I would in the future seek out a broker that more carefully screened carriers and only did business with carriers who clients rated as reliable.
