Bad Broker

I originally booked the transportation of my vehicle though another broker. Unfortunately the truck that was dispatched on my order broke down. It was nearing crunch time and I was unsure what to do never dealing with shipping a car before. Looked up carriers on the internet out of desperation and explained my situation to Amanda.

I was informed about the expedite service meaning they could make the pick-up within 24 hours for the right price. I agreed to that and was pretty much guaranteed they could dispatch my load for me.
Being a not so smart person under stress I made the huge mistake of paying them up front for the entire shipment of $1100.00 via check by phone. This was on June 16, 2010 and of course the funds were immediately taken from my checking account.

Needless to say, even after trying to add $200.00 dollars the to cost of my shipment to make it more enticing to any driver, the pick-up did not happen. l was able to get the pick-up done by the original broker and I canceled my order with this broker on June 18, 2010. It is now July 3, 2010 as I type this review and still no refund. When I called to cancel I was told I would have the check back in ten business days. That to me is unacceptable but what could I do. Then ten business days later, when I still don't get my refund, I am being told, no, the check is to be issued within ten days, and you will get your check by ten business days after that. Why and how can they justify luring their customers in by good sales talking, and then not returning the customer's fund in a timely fashion when the shipment doesn't happen? To me this is plain old bad business and I would never do business with this company or trust them again.

This customer is not telling the truth. She placed her order on 6-16 at 3:42 in the afternoon and she cancelled as she admits on 6-18 at 8:45 in the morning less then 48 hours later. We were well within our pickup window of 48 hours having all day to dispatch when she canceled. She cancelled because she DOUBLED BOOKED WITH ANOTHER CARRIER AND WAS MAKING BOTH OF US WORK. We do not have a cancellation fee so what did she care. Her 100% refund check was mailed to her within 7 days as our terms and conditions say. When she called our office we told her it would be 10 days from the day she cancelled to receive her check. We are sorry she got confused and with we wish her well with her shipment.
