Bad Business Practices

This was the first time we had to hire a transport company to move some collateral and I can't tell you how frustrating the experience has been. First off we booked the order and was told it would be delivered within about 7 days. I was also told that the sooner we could pay them, the quicker they could expedite the transport. We physically brought a payment down to their office. The atmosphere was quite unprofessional. Our employee was told to wait in a small room, which during this time she overheard a man and women (co-workers) arguing. After 9 days of not hearing a word from the company, I called the office to check the status of the transport. I was told by Amy that the gentleman that was helping me ended up in the hospital and that they did not have a driver for us, but that we were put on a list for pickup. She couldn't give me any specific dates or times. Just that we were on this list. Keep in mind to us this was a very time sensitive issue. It meant losing money. I called back 5 days later, still no specific date or time and we were still on the waiting list. I called back 2 days later (17 total) and asked them to refund us our full payment and cancel the order. We had to go with someone else, we couldn't wait any longer. To my surprise they have a 7 day refund policy that is nowhere on their website or anywhere in the terms and conditions. Although they seemed apologetic, they weren't interested in making good on their lack of promises. They should have made an exception to their policy and refunding us our money the day we asked for it. They acted so gracious by NOT charging us a cancellation fee. When I tried to escalate to a supervisor Amy denied me the chance to speak with anyone else who may have rectified the situation. She even told me that they would sue us in federal court if we wrote to the better business bureau. We haven't received our refund as of yet. I am hoping they will at least show some business ethics and refund our payment within the 7 days they said they would. This whole deal was wrong. It will have cost us almost a full months worth of time by choosing this company. We will not be recommending them to you.

This review is full of untruths. This customer was in a hurry but would not pay for expidited service. We explained that it would be 7 days from pickup unitl delivery. She chose our economy rate where pickup which could take up to 10 days. We have no cancellation fees or penalties meaning we do not get paid unless we complete the shipment. We always refund 100% of monies paid by customers who cancel. We process refunds within 7 days of cancel requests. Our outstanding record speaks for itself. We are sorry we could not satisfy this customer.
