Dishonest and untrustworthy

I used this carried to ship my Rav4. I booked their service with Montway Auto Transport on Friday June 1. scheduled pick up door - door was within 1-5 business days. It was not assigned to a driver until June 7th. The driver never showed to pick up the car until June 11. The dispatch center lied about his location on the way down stating he was in Hartford CT when actually he was in Rhode Island. The car was expected to arrive on Friday June 14th. The driver was great he kept in contact with us however when the driver was not available we would call K&A Transport and they would lie about the drivers whereabouts. This is where I have a problem.

The driver arrived in Pompano Beach Friday the morning of June 14th as expected and no one bothered to call me. My father and I called the driver saturday morning and said that K& A was doing a favor for one of their friends and loaded a porche onto the back of the truck with a fork lift because the front axle was broken. K&A did not want to pay for a fortlift to come out on a weekend day to remove the car because it was too expensive. They said I have to wait until they get that situation fixed because the porche was blocking my car from being taken off.

My car did not arrive until monday June 17th. When the people arrived it was not the driver we had been speaking to nor any of the people we have dealt with through this entire process. It was two hispanic guys that didnt want to answer any of my questions they just wanted their money and to leave.

I told him to call his boss. I spoke to herbert or whatever his name was who had the nerve to tell me that he was not responsible for weather or traffic. I told him I had been speaking with the driver directly since he gave my dad his personal business card and explained to herbert that I new about the broken down porche that he was towing for his friend and how they needed a forklift to remove it from the truck since the front axle was broken.

The owner said that he needs to do business that is profitable he did not care about service. he threaten to take my car and impound it until i paid him the money. he gave me $40.00 off the price of the truck. If there is any other way to handle this situation I would like to know because he threatened to call the police on me. I am going to look into an attorney.

It is now my intention to tell my story to everyone I can in order to prevent people from giving their business to K&A Transport Corp and this a-hole.

Save yourself the time and the grief and don't use this company.

It was 17 days from start to finish to get my car here and it cost a total of $509.00.

HORRIBLE BUSINESS. I HOPE THEY GO OUT OF BUSINESS.
