Our worst fear about shipping our sports cars came true thanks to K1 Shipping. We sent them from Colorado to North Carolina. Our Corvette and TransAm, both damaged by them. Both of our cars are low riding cars. Both cars arrived at our new home damaged on the undersides. Any shipper worth their salt should know how to handle these cars. The Corvette now has fiberglass absolutely SHREDDED on both sides under the doors. The TransAm scraped in the same area, the same way. A person trusts a "professional" company to take good care. This trust was grossly misplaced. As we were not there upon their arrival to check them out, we did not know of the damage until a month later. My brother, who accepted delivery of them for us, after dark, did not see the damage, in the dark. We reported the damage to our broker as soon as we arrived at the new house and were reunited with our beloved cars. K1's response was, of course, "We have signed off receipt". Zero follow through on his promise of "I'll call them tomorrow." We will have our cars repaired. But we will also tell every person, every chance we get, of our experience with K1 Auto Carrier. If you are considering using them, think again.
