First, let me say that Jay was great to deal with. His knowledge of the industry is immediately evident, and he quickly and clearly gave me all the information I needed to make the process go as smoothly as possible. It's clear that Jay is very organized, and this translates into a smooth customer service experience. I chose Jay because I knew exactly who I'd be dealing with - every time I called, it was him that answered and I didn't have to wait for him to "look me up in the system" - he knew the details of my case and was able to quickly recall the information and push things along to the next step of the process.

Also, my case was a little complicated since I had left my car with a friend, and Jay had a carrier lined up but I couldn't reach my friend to confirm the pickup time. Jay was very patient as we had several rounds of back-and-forth phone calls (me to my friend, Jay to the carrier) to coordinate the pickup time. I can imagine that this would be a pretty annoying situation for him, but he was totally relaxed about the whole thing and reiterated that he was there to help.

Also, I can't say that this is typical, but in my case things happened FAST! I called Jay on Monday morning, by lunchtime he had a carrier lined up, and the car was picked up on Tuesday night. Thanks to a tandem driving team, it made it from Washington, DC to Denver, CO in about 38 hours (pickup to delivery). And it was just about 3 days exactly from the time I made the call to Jay to the time I received the vehicle. I thought it would be 1-2 weeks, so this was an awesome surprise.

I would definitely use him again, and highly recommend him to anyone else. I never got a hint that he was playing any games or pulling any shenanigans, which seem to be common in this industry based on some other reviews. Obviously a big part of the experience was due to the carrier (F1 Auto Transport), but I also got the sense that Jay does a great job of screening the carriers and working only with the most qualified and trustworthy ones - obviously I have only one experience to base that on, but I trust that's the case every time.

Overall cost was $950 - $100 to Jay and $850 to F1 Auto Transport. This was about $50 higher than most other cars were posted, but it was well worth the $50 to us to get the car out here quickly - that may have played a role in the quick timeline as well.
