Ferrari 456M - New Orleans to SF Bay Area

I made the deal to purchase a 2002 Ferrari 456M out of New Orleans. Since the car needed a major service, I chose to use the seller's mechanic, Jim Lindsey, owner of Lindsey Automotive in Kenner, LA, where I received fantastic customer service. Once Jim was able to estimate when the car was near completion, I started calling around to the national carriers for quotes. To my surprise, they were all back logged due to BJ's auction in Scottsdale, Mecum in Florida, and the severe winter storms back east (January 2015). Although Intercity wasn't the cheapest, they offered me a slight discount, but more importantly, their pick-up estimate was the soonest to the other carriers. Each week, I emailed the office coordinator for a time estimate. They were swift to respond and they gave realistic time frames (they even admitted if they didn't have one yet). Nearly three weeks later, Mike and his wife were dispatched the pick-up the Ferrari at Lindsey Automotive, along with an extra set of wheels and tires ($100). I received their first call about 1-hour before the pickup and a second call once the car was in the trailer. He gave me an estimate as to when he would have the car in Northern California. He called a few days later to confirm they were on schedule; he gave me a 2-hour time window. They phoned again the day before delivery to say they were slightly ahead of schedule and in the area. I joked and asked if I could pick-up the car that evening. To my surprise they were more than willing to go that extra mile. Since it would be dark out, I opted for the morning delivery. Mike and his wife were early and once I arrived, we found a safe location that was convenient for both parties. The next thing I knew, my Ferrari was safely on the ground (with wheels and tires in tow). They were careful to have plastic over the drivers seat and temporary floor mats. Mike also moved the wheels into our garage. So in a nut shell, I was very pleased with Intercity's communication and the white glove care I received. I will definitely use and recommend Intercity in the future.
