It took me TWO years to find a company that I was comfortable with transporting my BMWZ3. Beware- -many of the brokers give you a cheap price and after you pay the deposit, you wait and wait for a pick up. Some of the so-called better car transporters try to change prices on you once you book. I had one owner tell me that he had to reschedule because he had to fire his driver. Did I want this type of guy transporting my car. Another broker promised me he was a transporter and even invited me to pass his business to see his trucks. He must have not realized that I lived in an adjoining neighborhood. One saturday I drove over to see the trucks and found nothing but a one car garage in a brooklyn two family home. The guy was a broker identifying himself as a carrier.
In any event, I found Horseless Carriage. On short notice (due to another company cancelling), they scheduled a pick up. The day before the pick up my fuel pump busted and the car was inoperable. Horseless Carriage did not punk out nor did they raise the rate. They were on time and really impressed me with their professionalism- - uniformed, knowledgeable drivers. Their truck was amazing- - -the carriage of the truck moves back and down making it safe even for a low car.
What can I say about Roberto (the driver who brought my car to fla). He was great and treated my car like his own. My car arrived in fla in the company of two Ferraris. Roberto called me the day before with the eta. He was right on time. He pushed the car off the truck and even returned to help the mechanic push the car into the shop.
My car is fixed and on the road in sunny florida. The outrageous monthly rent I was paying in NY to house my car in a garage is a distant memory. The nightmare of finding a reputable company to transport my car is over. Do not hesitate to use this company.
