This is the first time I've needed to have a vehicle transported (my parents' minivan, so I needed to be extra certain that it would be treated well!), and became rather wary after starting my research, seeing some very self-serving 'reviews' of places, and reading some horror stories. Then, thank goodness, I found transportreviews.com which seems to have a lot of legitimate reviews. Being from San Diego, I chose a Southern California company with very good reviews, and have found that the very good reviews seem to be well-deserved. Nichole (Hilton) was excellent to deal with and very honest, and the company she used (Ace Auto Trans) actually got the minivan there a few days early and in perfect condition- and there were a lot of items in the vehicle that could easily have gone missing! Nichole also called to check on things the day before the vehicle was to arrive, and quickly arranged a call from the dispatcher as there was a slight language barrier between my mother (the receiving party) and the driver.

Only room for improvement is that I left a couple of messages when I was first inquiring about possible service and did not receive a call back- and attribute that to my having left messages on the weekend. I suggest that Nichole's answering machine indicate their usual office hours if they do not routinely check calls on the weekend. But that's a small issue. I would use them again with no hesitation, as this proved to be a remarkably hassle-free experience.
