I just had my daughters ‘98 Ford Escort shipped to Texas from Michigan for a six month college coop experience. This was my first time shipping a car and I was very apprehensive after reading reviews of other companies on this website and checking the BBB website. Some of the highly rated companies on this website have terrible ratings at the BBB. However, dealing with Hilton Auto Transport has dispelled my fears. Nichole quoted a very reasonable price and said she could work within my three day deliver window. She contracted with General Auto Transport out of Brownsville, Texas. The car was actually picked up a day early. I was concerned that maybe the pickup wouldn’t happen as we had had quite a bit of snow and the high temperature the day of pickup was only 10F. However, Pedro and Javier showed up and loaded the car with no problem. They were very pleasant and funny even though they were southern Texans working in freezing temperatures. I told them, as I had told Nichole, that nobody would be in Texas to pick up the car until late Saturday night at the earliest. So they got permission from their dispatcher to allow them to wait until we got to the pickup point. Our flight was actually an hour late due the need for plane de-icing, but Pedro said ‘No problem’. The car was delivered with no damage and amazingly clean for a salty winter trip from Michigan. Nichole followed up to make sure everything went as planned. I will plan on using Hilton Auto Transport the next time I need this service.
