I was impressed with Todd's communication and willingness to educate regarding auto transports. Basically I learned most people out there are brokers and make internet listings to generate business from independent drivers. You can go directly to carriers but costs are typically higher especially for enclosed transport.
Todd was always open, honest, and willing to educate. No deposit until the car was picked up. Transporter Jeff (Huffine Transport) from Pella, IA was also very professional and responded to all calls.
Only frustration was that van was listed for an enclosed carrier for a week without any takers. Once I changed to open it was scooped the next day. I think this has something to do with the weather patterns in the midwest. To Todd's credit I believe he felt bad about the delay and dropped his own broker's fee to get the job done. In the end I saved $350 compared to what I was going to pay for an enclosed carrier so in hindsight it worked out well.
