Wouldn't Hire Again

I hired Garcia's Auto Transport to transport my 2 cars from CA to OH. Jay Garcia told me that the vehicles would be picked up on 11/14 or 11/15 and dropped off 11/22 or 11/23. I paid a deposit of $700 with the remainder, $1,800, due to the carrier upon delivery. The cars did not arrive on 11/22. On 11/23, I called the company that Mr. Garcia contracted to move the cars, Great West Auto Transport. I was informed that the cars would be delivered on 11/25. I said Mr. Garcia told me 11/23, and the operator proceeded to cite the holiday and dealerships not being open for delivery along the route as reasons for the delay. I called Mr. Garcia and he said the same thing. I told him that I had to extend my rental car for an additional two days and indicated that the holiday should have been factored in when he gave me the original estimate. On Friday, 11/25, the cars still had not arrived so I called Great West again, who told me that the car would be dropped "on Saturday or Sunday." I explained that this wasn't what I had agreed to. I called Mr. Garcia again, who said he would call the broker. Mr. Garcia called back and said the vehicles would be delivered on Saturday. On Saturday afternoon, having not heard anything, I called Great West, who informed me that they would not be able to deliver the vehicles until first thing on Sunday morning. I called Mr. Garcia again and expressed my frustration at having to pay for yet another rental day. On Sunday morning at 10:00, I had not heard from anyone. I called the car transporter, could not get through, so I sent a text asking for an ETA. I attempted to reach Great West and Mr. Garcia, and left messages for both. Shortly after noon, the driver called me and said he could drop the cars at 3:00. This company was the biggest pain to deal with, especially frustrating right before the holidays.

Terms, Contract, and Liability Information Garcia’s Auto Transport and Logistics will provide the Customer with an estimated pick-up and delivery dates. There are no guarantees about the pick-up or delivery times and dates. Delays could happen prior to, and / or during transport due to road conditions, weather and mechanical problems. Garcia’s Auto Transport and Logistics is not to be held responsible for damages or loss caused by any type of delay or any other reason, car rental fees, or lodging fees. Garcia’s Auto Transport and Logistics are not to be held liable for the failure of mechanical or operating parts of your vehicle.
