damaged my car-refused to pay

Full Throttle transported my Saab 9-3 from Florida to NY. When the car was delivered, deep scratches were noticed on the roof that were not present when the car was picked up. I immediately contacted Tony at Full Throttle and JC at Mercury Auto Transport (broker who can verify all of these details). I emailed photos of the damage immediately. The driver of the truck initially offered $100 cash refund...they admitted causing the damage. The owner, Tony, told me he would cover the damage because his insurance policy had a $2500 deductible which I have verified.

I got 3 estimates for the repair...ranging from $387 to $1200. I went with the lowest estimate as I was trying to make this as easy as possible for everyone involved. Since then (6 weeks) I have been told that a check was mailed to me and lost in the mail(twice). Also, I was told that one of his drivers would personally deliver the check which also never happened. Mercury got involved and JC was also told that a check would be hand delivered...never happened.

I am forced to deal with this in small claims court. I hope to help others avoid a similar problem. This company is unprofessional, unreliable and dishonest. All over $387..hard to believe.

Mr Wiesberg We gave you an apology and paid you for damages even though Your sister inspected the car before signing the BOl stating no damages Evident. I did my due diligence prior to making any payment to you. We never gave you a date when payment was made and my partime Bookeeper was pregnant and misinformed me About your payment. I drive all day and depend on help to Inform me while I am driving around the country. We are not brokers I transport cars. My wife signs checks when I'm not in town and Somewhere along the line communication could have been better. Since then I have hired more help to make things go more smoothly Because sir I have 3 children who depend on me to keep this company going. I humbly apologize.
