Full Service Van Lines is one the worst companies with no professionalism- Hands down. I was moving cross country from PA to CA and my bad luck started when I switched my movers from the USA moving to Full Service. I can't say any thing about USA moving but their rates per sf were definitely less than Full Service. They initially offered $6.5 per sf however, after I told them that Moving USA was offering $4.0 per sf, they dropped it down to $6.0 per sf. They told me all kind of stories that Moving USA is a broker company and I will be stuck with a huge bill at the end and they won't deliver until the new bill is paid. In nut shell, they make me believe that the low rate was for a reason and Full Service will do an outstanding/ guaranteed job for the price they charge. This was my first ever experience with moving and was naïve. I got into the sweet talk (the representative name was George) and switched to them. Now here is step by step details of the ordeal that I have to go through once I initially got an estimate which they (George) said was on the higher side and I will probably get reimbursed if indeed my home items are the same as I told them over the phone.

After the initial estimate, I was given 3 day pickup window and was to get a call ahead of time. The first day went by and no call so I called them and was told that it will happen tomorrow as they were just a little busy. I believed them but the 2nd day went by and no pick up. Again called and they were apologetic and said it will happen tomorrow. Now I had to leave the apartment in 2 days and if the stuff was not pickup by tomorrow, I would have been in deep trouble. The third day came and the same story. Never got to see any movers and at that point, I had already lost faith in them. Called multiple times and finally manage to speak to Sean, who assured me that he will make it happen first thing tomorrow. The next day came and no body showed up in the morning, called and was told it will now be afternoon. No body showed up in afternoon and got a call from driver that he may be able to make it by 6-7 pm now since he is stuck in traffic coming from NJ. Around 7-8 pm, again got a call from the driver requesting if they can do it tomorrow as it may be very difficult for them to come today. I said NO as I had to leave the apartment tomorrow so they said that they will be there by 10 or 11pm. The truck finally came around 12 am and they picked up all my stuff by 2 AM. The did a nice job with covering my stuff but when they placed items in truck, they were so loosely placed that now I have to pay for 800sf (an additional~ $2000) than for 500sf I was initially estimated for. When I asked them that this is the same list I got the estimate for except one or two additional items (which would never add additional 300 sf), they plainly said that I have to talk to the company. When I tried emailing/ calling to the company the next day and onwards, I never got any reply. So much for the professionalism.

Now I was promised that my stuff will get delivered at a particular date with 3 day window. Those 3 day came and went by and no signs of any delivery truck. I was emailing back and forth/ calling repeatedly to check the status and was initially told that it was on its way and will be there. Frustrated from the situation, I literally begged them to tell the truth and 2-3 days AFTER the day it was suppose to be delivered, I was told that it has not even left NJ and will be leaving today. This was totally unacceptable but I could not do any thing at this point. They said that it will be there in next 10 days. It took them 3 weeks more than what I was initially promised and had to repurchase the essentials to get on with life.

At the delivery point, I had clearly mentioned to them that SEMIs are not allowed on property. However, I started getting calls that I have to pay for shuttle ($500) since they are not responsible for it. When confronted them again that it is in the contract, they finally said okay but then started arguing about an extra for flight of stair (when it was clearly agreed upon that they will not charge any extra for my apartment on the 2nd floor) and got charged $100 which I was never suppose to be charged for but at that point, I was so fed up with the experience that I just wanted it to get done.

On delivery, a number of items were missing. They picked up 40 boxes per itemized list and only 30 got delivered. The desk, kitchen table, bed frame and a lamp lost. Two lamps broken. When tried to contact them, no body responded to email until finally they send me a link for filing me claim which I am currently going through but have no hope of ever getting my items back. I honestly feel that they must have paid to have some good reviews (which unfortunately were the ones I read initially) but now when I searched a little bit more, I saw nothing but horrible reviews of the company. Please stay away from them and do not use their service.
