This is a continuance/update to complaint filed on 10/01/09. As stated yesterday, the vehicle was to be delivered to Richland, WA at 1:00 AM PST per conversation with carrier. At 6:00PM PST I contacted Milton to confirm the delivery of my vehicle at 1:00 AM. He asked me if I had a forlkift (why it is needed, I do not know as it was not loaded with one) to which I responded "yes". He asked me if I had his money. I also responded "yes". He said he would be there. I got up at 12:45 AM so I would be ready to meet Milton and unload the vehicle. At 1:15 AM he had not arrived so I decided to phone him. He answered and I asked him where he was. He responded, "The hotel, who is this"? I identified myself and reminded him of our scheduled appointment and again asked where he was. He replied, "The Days Inn. Come and get it." I told him I would be right there. I drove to the Days Inn and of course, no Flying Ryan Express. I went in the office and let them know that I wanted to be on the security camera to prove that I did show up. After that, I left and phoned Milton again. He didn't answer. As I found out on the internet, I am not the first to go through this with him. It happened in 09/09 in Austin. Seems to be his MO. Once home, I contacted the police as I feel we are getting in a grey area of no intent to deliver. I feel like this vehicle may get stolen or at least not delivered. At 3:30 AM my phone rings. It's Milton. He tells me that he won't be able to deliver until Saturday. I told him this was not our agreement. He said he was in Portland and was headed to Seattle and then Canada. After that he would make his way back down and deliver. I was not in any mood to argue so I said I would see him them.
I feel I have done absolutely everything to accomodate him up to and including special equipment that is not my responsibility, nor necessary. I am not sure what else to do. This man thrives on "bullying" people. I did not agree to take the load. I gave a very clear address to the broker. Milton accepted the load. Due to his neglegance in researching delivery addresses, he now does not want the added cost to deliver and expects me to make concessions and drive 400 mile round trip to pick the vehicle up.
His last victim has a post on Rip Off Report. Google Flying Ryan Express Indiana and it will come up.
