I filled out several forms for auto shipping quotes so I could have a wide variety to choose from. The quotes started coming in within minutes. The prices ranged from $300 to $695.
I read a lot of them to get a feel for it because I had never shipped an auto. Plus, I was right in the middle of packing to move and needed to have my car situation resolved quickly with a company that I would not have to worry or have doubts about.
When I came to Federal Express, I thought they only transported mail, but quickly found out that they did indeed ship autos. Wow, I knew the reputation of this company and immediately called them. I spoke with Jason and explained my situation. I wanted my car to arrive after I was in my new place. I gave him the address I wanted it shipped to. When I first contacted Jason, my car was running. Then, after my plans were made, my car stopped working so I got it towed to an auto/repair place for a diagnosis. Their repair price was outrageous so I decided to have it shipped to a garage near where I would be living. My brother in law who lived there had highly recommended it, plus I would rather be where my car was being repaired.
Getting all these things coordinated was becoming a nightmare. I feel that Jason saved me. I had to keep calling him and changing things, and his reply would be "Sure, we can do that, no problem*. When I called him and left a message, I could always count on him returning my call very quickly. He is so easy to work with and I appreciated it so much, as I was already stressed to the max with moving. ( I don't like to move)
My car arrived to the mechanic/garage here with no problem and I am waiting while they figure out what is wrong with it. I do have other transportation with a relative here.
I would never use another Shipping company, as Federal Express is excellent and I would always know that I can count on them. I would give them five huge GOLD stars.
