I ordered a shipment of an antique car that was purchased on Ebay from New Hampshire to Louisiana. Despite indications that the car would be assigned a carrier within a reasonable amount of tme, a carrier was not found. I was required to make a depsit of $195 before the search was begun. When Express could not find a carrier, I was told I would not receive the full deposit back, even though Express did NOTHING to help me. I feel that it is not right to require a deposit BEFORE a carrier has been found, and not right to keep the deposit if the shipment is never done. I have dealt with many carriers who do not require an advance deposit. Certainly, if they do, it should be refundable in full. They did nothing to help me, and should send the money back.
