Driver's Attitude/Communication Breakdown within Company

Company confirmed an afternoon pick-up of vehicle so that a proper inspection could be done of the flawless 2002 Thunderbird. Late that afternoon of the promsed day pick-up there was no communicaiton from Company. Company never gave the phone number of the driver! Company was called and the dispatch was told the car will not be released in the dark. Dispatch understood and said driver will be notified to pick-up the car in the AM. Later that evening around 6:30 pm the driver called the Pick-up contact and said he was coming to pick -up the car. The Pick-up contact said the car can not be released and the driver Kevin told the Pick up contact stick it and find someone else to transport the car. That is exactly what I did! However, the following morning the driver Kevin called the Pick-up contact and said he was on the way to pick up the car. There seems to be a communicaiton problem within this Company and drivers lack customer service skills. I am a car dealer who transports many cars per year .This experience has been the worst in my 15 years of dealing with Transport Companies. This Company replied to the lisitng on the atransport Board . I advise anyone to review this Transport Reviews before lettign their carbeing transported

We called and told the pick up location that we would be picking up the vehicle in the afternoon early evening. Customer told me this car was a show car. I also told him we do not give out our drivers numbers due to customers constantly calling and told him if he had any questions to please call our office so as to not bother the driver. we he stressed to me that he wanted the car picked up in the morning I told him I would let me driver know. in the meantime my driver had called him and did not know about having to wait for the morning yet. Which puts out because we have a schedule but will make that sacrifice. I do not know what Kevin said on the phone I can comment on that, but Kevin is a very courteous driver and never had a problem. When Kevin called the next morning to go pick up the car they said it was not going that since it was a show car they were now going to send the car in an enclosed trailer! So we waited over night to have the customer cancel in short notice and lost time because they wanted to send it on an enclosed trailer as opposed to open. I called the broker and he told me the same thing that the car was now being sent enclosed according to the customer. We are the ones that are out now because the customer did not want to give up the car in the first place made us wait and then canceled.
