We just purchased a rare 2008 Mustang Roush P51a in Washington state and needed to have it transported back to our home state of Virginia. We really wanted to transport it in an enclosed trailer since some reviews we read about the open carriers gave us the willies. It was already TUES and the car needed to be loaded that upcoming weekend when we were flying out to WA to finalize the purchase. Still don’t know how Rob Dudley pulled off this little miracle, but on WED he was able to locate a local driver in Washington state just 10 minutes from the car dealership and the driver was available for pick-up that FRIDAY - - OMG, I was in shock and elated all at the same time. Rob was very easy to speak with, patient, and explained everything to me about the transporting transaction and also responded to my multiple email questions in a timely fashion. He even sent me a pic of the driver’s truck and 48 ft single-stack trailer. Nikita Sloboda was our driver (Autobahn Transport, Federal Way, WA) and he was exceptional - very friendly, honest, and trustworthy. He’s very thorough when inspecting the car and will tell you exactly if and when you car may need to be repositioned during transit. His enclosed trailer has hydraulics to alleviate any heartburn you may have about loading and unloading lowered cars. Nikita kept in touch with us almost everyday and the car arrived 1 week later in the exact same condition and mileage as when he loaded – to say the least WE ARE VERY PLEASED with the delivery of our new baby!! We were prepared with protective covers for the seats, steering wheel and carpet. Enclosed transport can be somewhat dusty, so my lesson-learned is to buy a cheap car cover the next time I need to transport a car. THANK YOU BOTH for your immediate, exceptional service!!
