To begin with I selected EVT after speaking numerous times with Ed. He assured me numerous times that they are a CARRIER and not a broker. He repeatedly told me that was better because of insurance regulations. He repeatedly told me the car would not be off loaded until it arrived at my destination. I talked to numerous companies; and even though EVT was more expensive by almost 700 dollars; I decided to use them. I was told many times about how they are car guys first and that being a retired exotic car dealer he understands what it takes to get pristine cars around the country.
The First red flag was when I recieved a call from where to car was being picked up saying they were Stallion Transporters and that they had brokered the run from EVT. At that point they told the man where the car was being picked up that he couldn't guarantee him that the care would not be unloaded before being delivered. So he called me; I was upset; I was told that EVT did not have their own truck in the area so they had "partnered" with Stallion to make the run. While the car would not be placed in a terminal they could not guarantee me it would not have to be unloaded to make delivery of other autos on the trailer.
While I was still very not happy; I said ok. My next phone call came 10 minutes or so later when I was told that the lift gate on the trailer being used malfunctioned while the precious GT500 was on it. The left side of the gate started dropping and wouldn't stop. Finally the gate got in such a bind it stopped; a forklift had to be gotten to secure the gate; and miraculously the car didn't fall. THE CAR DID NOT GET DAMAGED.

I did get my refund of my deposit. It took a few days because of visa not because of EVT. In the days following I spoke to the owner; he feels it was just miscommunication- maybe it was; I felt as thought I had done thorough research- I do not wish to tarnish an otherwise flawless record. They seemed like nice people. However, this was my experience.
