We contacted Door to Door and scheduled a transport for our sedan with a pickup window of Mon, Nov 28-Wed, Nov 30 in Dayton, OH to be delivered in Lancaster, CA. On Monday the 28th we hadn't heard from our booking agent Lola so WE called HER and she assured us that we were still good to go for pickup by Wednesday. Tuesday came and went with no contact whatsoever. Wednesday arrived and we still hadn't heard anything so we called again. Lola said she was working on it and would update us soon. A few hours later, WE reached her coworker Michaela, who felt it necessary to repeat several times that Lola was giving up her booking fee in order to increase our bid amount and hopefully find us a driver. After making several more phone calls to Door to Door, we finally received a text from Dennis, a dispatcher who had supposedly secured us a driver but couldn't tell us when pickup would be or put us in touch with the driver directly. All we got was "probably tomorrow evening [Thur, Dec 1]." Thursday turned out to be more vague runaround from Dennis about our driver being delayed in Detroit, MI because of other customers being late and that he'd arrive really late at night so we should just wait til Friday morning for pickup. Now, our military family is on a move across the country to a new duty station with our SUV and needed to be in St. Louis, MO Thursday night. But that didn't happen because our sedan was still stuck in limbo. We agreed to wait til Friday morning and said we could be reached as early as 6am. But morning came and went and we never heard back from Dennis or a driver. At this point we are angry, tired, and behind schedule. We decide to rent a uhaul and pull our sedan with our SUV. It wasn't until 2pm that we finally received a call from Alex with CRC Transport that our driver is in Toledo, OH with malfunctioning air brakes and will be further delayed with no estimated pick up date. Obviously at this point we inform Alex (what ever happened to Dennis?) we no longer need services, we're taking care of things ourselves. Overall, our experience was incredibly disappointing. We wish both Door to Door and CRC had just been upfront with us. Be weary, folks.
