This was my first time in shipping a car from Ny to California. After doing extensive research, it was hard to find a shipping company directly in my home area , but most are brokers. I was also told there should be no payment or deposits till the time of delivery. Door to Door asked me for my credit card information before my car was even picked up for the shipment. I was promised that the credit card would not be charged till delivery in California, however, when I checked my credit card information, it was charged 2 days after pickup. . And Door to Door contracted with United Auto Transport to pick up my car and shipping out to the West coast. I was given a phone number to find out the tracking status of the truck, but no one ever answered my call.

The delivery , to my surprise, arrived to California in 6 days. It was picked up July 31st on a thursday and it arrived to Oceanside , California today August 6th. For the price $1245, I thought it was fair as long as my daughter's car got there as promised.
