Transported my Honda CRV from Oregon to Minnesota. Quote was the lowest of all people I talked to. This is a family business. The person I delt with, Roy, was extremely nice, professional, and helpful. I cannot say that for the other employees, though. I had a 48 window from Friday to Saturday to pick up the vehicle, and a call came from a driver saying he was picking up the car in an hour (on Thursday!), which was not the plan and did not fit into the schedule. I had to call the dispatcher for the company who was shipping the car and settle things with him. When I called Door Transport, it was afterhours, and their help was subpar. So as long as you deal with Roy, and you are working during normal business hours, this operation is great. My car was picked up on Friday at 7AM, and arrived Wednesday night at 9PM. They say they give a 24 hour call prior to delivery. My call came on Wednesday at 9AM saying it would be delivered on Thursday sometime. Then the driver called on Wednesday at 7PM and said he was an hour and fourty-five minutes away. So timing is something I think you just have to deal with in this business. Otherwise, my car was fine, and I had no problems. I even had the drivers cell phone number and called him a couple times in route to see where he was. Unfortunately, he didn't major in English, but a nice guy and did a good overall job. He had been shipping cars for 7 years and knew what he was doing. The other quotes I got were a good 200-500 dollars more than this. They also seemed a lot more "shady" on the phone, like I was dealing with a weasle. Also, my driver didn't know how much I was supposed to pay him, so just have a cashiers check ready with the amount you were quoted to give to the driver. I'd probably use this company again. My one thing I'd try is to contact the actual shipper (Door-to-Door acted as a Broker in this case, even though they have their own trucks), and see if I can leave out the middle man and book it for cheaper. The company that shipped my car was N&N (the first N stands for Nancy I believe.) Hope this helps someone else out. I am a surgical resident and never had shipped a car before. I did not get paid by anyone to leave this review and it is unbiased.
