We contacted Anthony at door to door to move 8 cars from L.A., 4 were going to MO on a open carrier, 1 to MO on a closed carrier and 3 to OH on a open carrier. We were on a VERY tight deadline. we had 5 days that all 8 cars HAD to be moved out. We flew out to CA on Sunday and were leaving Friday for home. It was touch and go for a while but Anthony did come through for us. This was my first time shipping a car, so I did not know what to expect. Anthony kept reassuring us that it will work out. The 4 cars to MO went out Thursday with no problems. The 1 car in the closed truck went out Friday morning, we had a unusual situation. We needed a closed truck that could winch on a non-operating car. That was a nail biter, Anthony gave up his commision and I did have to pay a few hundred dollars extra to get a truck, but we got one. The 3 cars to OH were supposed to go out Friday also, but when the truck was 15 minutes out the driver cancelled. This was not door to door's fault and Anthony said they will not be using that carrier anymore. The driver claimed that nobody told him that we had non-operating cars to ship, even though it plainly stated that on the contract. I got on the phone to Anthony immediatly and he got the ball rolling for another truck to make the pickup. A carrier did pick up the trip, but it cost quite a bit more for the last minute pickup, and it did not happen until Monday, so one of us has to change departing flights and extend the stay for 2 days which added many hundreds of dollars to the week. Anthony jumped through a lot of hoops to make it happen even with the last minute cancellation of the first OH truck. My hats off to door to door and Anthony for juggling all those balls in the air at one time for us.
