After having a lack of success from another top-rated broker, I contacted DAT based on their outstanding Better Business Bureau record. Mike Lippe was able to arrange enclosed transport for $200 over what we were quoted for open transport by the other broker and have the pick-up made 2 days after we first contacted him (he was able to find an open space on a truck heading west).

We were exceptionally impressed with Mike's responsiveness and the results he achieved for us. We also had an excellent experience with the carrier (Go-2 Transportation), for which DAT should also receive credit.

Although DAT is based in Wisconsin, they were able to arrange cross-country shipping from DC in impressive fashion. Would definitely use and recommend them again.

In fairness to the other broker, their representative spent 1-1/2 weeks trying to arrange transport, and when two prior trucking companies either could not live up to the promised pick-up date or, in the other case, set a firm date for pickup, but the truck was not where the trucking company said it was (it would not arrive for several more days to actually receive the car). That second trucking company wanted to send someone in to drive the car out to a storage area to await the truck, and when I insisted on it being carried out there (having paid for "door-to-door" service), I was given the option of their using a dolley to tow it out or pay $200 for a flatbed to come in. The other broker decided to terminate the trucking arrangement after hearing about these issues, so I do not have a negative view of that other broker (just relating this experience for what it's worth).

In contrast DAT was able almost immediately to arrange enclosed transport and meet out timetable (recipient was going to be travelling, so car had to arrive in 10 days - DAT and Go-2 did it in 8). We went with the broker (DAT) who was able to get the job done, and are glad we did!
