I originally chose a different broker who quoted around $1,200 for the move. The truck went nowhere. They then suggested I offer $1,300. Nothing happened. Then they upped it to $1,700, and at that point I turned to DAS who quoted a price that I had thought was too low to be true. There was a wait of three days until the truck was picked up, and then it moved about 350 miles and stayed there for several days. I had a deadline, so I made a number of phone calls and sent emails to my primary contact, but no response. He said there was a problem with his voice mail, once I escalated my calls and found a dispatcher. After that point, the move went like clockwork, and the truck moved constantly right across the country. Pick-up staff were fantastic, and even loaded my motorbike into the truck for me. This was a very complex move, from the bottom right of the USA to the top left, and I think DAS did a wonderful job. I had hoped to receive the vehicle a little sooner, but that is a minor complaint especially in view of the price I paid. The on-line shipping tracker was an excellent innovation, and saved me making calls (except for when it was not moving!). I would strongly recommend DAS, unless you are in a great hurry to receive your vehicle. Thanks for a job well done, especially the dispatchers.
