I was guaranteed by DAS that my car would be picked up in Florida at the dealer on August 10, 2010. It was not picked up until August 11, 2010 and taken to a nearby terminal awaiting transport.

DAS informed me that my car was put on a transport truck heading for Utah on August 12, 2010. And that it was due to arrive at my home no later that August 18, 2010.

I waited until August 14, 2010 to try using the GPS tracking to see where the transport truck with my car was located. It showed that it was still in Florida. I tried calling the 24 hour tracking telephone number using the * key on the telephone as directed, with the response that this number is not in service.

On August 16, 2010 I telephoned DAS to find out the status of my car shipment. I was referred to customer service who informed me there was no GPS on the transport truck with my car. They assured me my car was on its way.

Every time I would call customer service I was told that my car was in a variety of different locations, none of which were consistent with what should have been a normal truck route since some were in the reverse direction. The date of arrival of my car constantly changed back and forth as well.

On August 19, 2010 I was informed that the transport truck had broken down in Denver, Colorado, and would be in Salt Lake City the following week. Again each time I would contact customer service I was given different information about the status and supposed departure of the transport truck and new arrival dates.

On August 25, 2010 I was informed that the transport truck was in Evanston, Wyoming, scheduled to arrive in Salt Lake City that evening. When nothing transpired I finally got customer service to admit that the transport truck had broken down again. It sat in Evanston until August 29, 2010, when it was finally repaired and made it to Salt Lake City.

At long last my car was delivered to me August 30, 2010. It took 21 days to ship it from Florida to Utah. Of those 21 days one day was lost due to the delayed pickup, 8 days were lost due to a broken down truck, and 12 days were supposed to be used as transport days. Naples, Florida to Salt Lake City, Utah is approximately 2,500 miles which takes 38 hours to drive. Even driving at 8 hours per day would only take 5 days.

I am extremely disappointed with the service of DAS, or the lack thereof, and the constant run-around and mis-information. I intend to l direct everyone I know away from shipping with DAS.
