overall bad experience

I paid for enclosed shipping for my anitique vehicle. It sat in fields for days on end. grass was cut around my auto it was covered in dirt and grass and grime. I was never told it would sit it fields for days at a time between terminals. DAS was recommednded by Sierra Classic Cars where I purchased this auto. The DAS terminal was just a block away from Sierra. Mr. Kruger of DAS said he had the Sierra people on the line and would arrange for them to bring the car to his terminal. "We do this all the time". A week later my car had not been delivered to their terminal, but no-one had called to ask me why even though they had to be paid up front when the shipping arrangements were made- Mr. Kruger told me the car will not be scheduled until we are paid. So I did a bank transfer that very day. I paid extra for enclosed shipping thinking that my car would be shipped enclosed and if necessary at least under roof when unloaded at a terminal. The only time this car was enclosed was during transport, which out of the total 22 days of shipping was about 2 !/2 to 3 days.
The day it was scheduled to deliver it was still shown as being in Jonesbore, Ga.where it had been for 10 days (which is 3 hours from destination) At 4:10 PM I was talking to customer service and was told that it was just leaving Georgia and would not arrive it Simpsonville, SC. until 9:40 the next morning ( I never could find out why it was going to take so long). One hour later at 5:15PM
I was on the phone with Mr. Kruger being told he was not suppose to talk to me about customer service matters, I should call customer service when the "terminal" (really it was a Collison and wrecker yard).in Simpsonville called me and gave 45 mins to get there ( in the heighth of rush hour traffic) or pay $10.00 per day to have my car put inside a garage ( not to mention how did my car get there so fast) or he would not be available till the next day and once again my car would be sitting in a lot. We got there just in time but the man did not want to stay he was rude and obnoxious. We were trying to get our car loaded onto a carrier for the trip to our house when the man said he was leaving and took his personal truck and parked it in the open gate and got into another vehicle and drove off, leaving us with no way to get out of the lot and we were about to have a terrible thunderstorm and our personal car which we could not get to was on the other side of the gate. By this time I was very upset and called customer service and told them they had 5 mins. to get in touch with him and get his truck moved or I was going to make him a new gate. Customer service got him and he showed up with several friends like he was mister big bad tough guy. Customer service appologized repeatedly that night but they were suppose to have a supervisor call me back to make a report. I have heard nothing. Our car has marks where it was strapped down and the straps rubbed the car, it was excessesively dirty and someother damage we are not sure if it is from shipping or was done previously. There was also a car hauler there unloading and moving cars around, we were told he was not the carrier that delivered our car but how odd is that he was there and inside the gate, needless to say it was not an enclosed car carrier. I will never use this company again. It would seem that all they are interedsed in is getting there money and then the customer is a nobody. The extra four hundred and fifty dollars for shipping snclosed is just a rip off.
