Das was recommended to me by a moving company I used and had a great experience with called ABF Moving. I requested additonal quotes from other companys and received lower quotes than DAS and used DAS because of the recommendation from ABF.

I requested the Door to Door delivery service which I paid extra for. I also requested that my credit card NOT be charged until 2 days prior to the confirmation of the pick up in CA-which my rep Jon Kreuger acknowledged and I was told I would receive a call from them 2 days prior to the pick up to confirm the pick up which never happened. One of the drivers (there were 2) from McCurleys contacted a friend in CA that was overseeing my vehicle on the day of the pick up which was on a Sunday. The driver proceeded to say that he was not ALLOWED to pick up in a residential area due to being "Against the Law" and my friend had to actually pick up one of the drivers and the driver had to drive my car to the location of the truck. It was the same circumstance with the delivery. Well, my car was damaged when it was delivered and I contacted DAS who then wanted me to contact the driver of the trucking company? to discuss the damage, which of course they denied doing. I contacted DAS again, they told me I would need to file a claim with the trucking company's insurance company. I also told DAS that I did not receive Door to Door service and relayed to them what the truck driver told both me and my friend and they reiterated that I should have received Door to Door service as long as there is ample room for the truck to pick up and deliver the vehicle-which there was.

To make a long story short, DAS breached their agreement with me on the Door to Door service- I did not get Door to Door service, and my vehicle is damaged. To top it all off, one of the truck drivers falsfied my copy of the bill of lading. My friend in Ca mailed to me his copy of the bill of lading which diagrams any markings or damages to the vehicle. On my copy of the Bill of Lading, the driver indicated a "scratch" on the bumper- which is the damage I am refering to, and this indication was NOT on the original Bill of Lading when my vehicle was picked up. DAS supposedly screens and insures quality of all the trucking companies they do business with, however, I can tell you that DAS does NOT care and even after providing them with both of the Bill of Ladings, they refuse to do anything about the damage to my vehicle or to even contact the trucking company.

I have many contacts and Network with alot of people that are constantly relocating and I am putting the word out to never do business with DAS. I have already put DAS on notice that I will file suit for Breach of Contract. It has been almost 4 weeks and I still have not received word from the trucking company's insurance company on whether they will cover the damage on my Porsche. If anyone has any questions, they are free to contact me. My office number is 561-638-6800.
