The person who picked up my 2007 Chevy Silverado on July 2nd was very thorough. He spent about 30 minutes looking over everything. He picked up vehicles for DAS and then delivers them to the terminal. The person who delivers your car looks it over at the terminal, notes damage and anything unusual. Sounds great right? My first delivery date was the 12th, no call. My mom looked online the truck had finally left Illinois. She had called customer service prior to that to get information. She spent 45 minutes on hold only to hear the spiel we have 14 days to deliver. She asked why they gave a date on booking the move of "by the 12th" if that wasn't what they meant. That was a sales person who gave a date of the 12th. The driver called on the 14th to say he's be there at 9am the next day and to meet him at a nearby complex. I was there he wasn't. We called DAS and were told if we didn't wait, he'd leave and we'd have to reschedule. Around 1 pm he arrived. He parked my truck across the street from where I was facing traffic and running. He ran over handed me papers and went to leave. Where's my inspection. I crossed to look at my truck, opened the doors and see my driver's side seat slashed in 2 places. Things were stolen from inside too. I chased down the driver and told him I wanted the damage written down. I was furious. No one could have gotten my back doors open without the truck being off the transport because the front doors need to be completely open to open the back doors. There's no room on the truck to do that. The police confirmed it was an inside job later that day when they saw the damage and what was missing from the extended cab. Customer service takes 45 minutes to answer unless you're booking and then no one cares. Delivery was a joke because they don't go over your vehicle at all then.
