Lots of damage ....which they claim they aren't paying for.

We had a LOT of damage. It was so late in delivery to our local depot that we drove 2 hours to pick it up ourselves (without any discount) so that we could have our car. We then found that there was a LOT of damage - they had obviously backed our car into something and the bumper is totally peeling paint etc. Lots of scratching on the sides....having driven across the country and watched other transporters with chains banging on the side of the cars, I am sure that is what happened to ours. I would NEVER EVER use DAS again. I might chance a different carrier/service...but frankly, the damage and stress and slow service makes us think we will probably drive both cars back across the country when the time comes instead of going through this. We got 3 estimates for repairs, the cheapest being over $1,000. They offered us $69.03!!! What kind of a company doesn't pay for their mess up!!!!! THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU USE THIS SERVICE!!!!!

DAS has researched this move. Regrettably, there is some damage claimed that was determined to be transit related and DAS made an offer to the customer. The most significant damage claimed was for paint peeling on the rear bumper. DAS sent an independent appraiser (at our cost) to examine the damage. The appraiser's evaluation is that the condition is not transit related, but instead the result of poor repair work previously performed on the vehicle.
