DAS is a great company, these guys that say they stole something from their vehicle, I'm not saying they didn't but most honest drivers wont, and damage to the vehicles on open carriers does happen, it can be from something as small as a tire blow out or a hydraulic line break on the rack (causes 1 rack to immediately drop) What people need to understand is that these guys work damn hard to get vehicles from point A to point B. I used to work for an affiliate of DAS; Xtreme Transport. The work can be very hard at times. It is a very frustrating job I'll admit. Time Frames!!! OK this is for all the people that are complaining about not getting their vehicle on time, different states have different speed limits (eg. Ohio 55mph vs. Colorado 75mph) so that has to be considered, and drivers are only allowed 11 hours of on duty time that includes loading cars, filling out the paperwork, dropping the cars off, fueling up, truck maintenance, anytime the driver is in the truck and not sleeping or taking his mandated down time he is on the 11 hour clock, it is a federal motor carrier law that drivers must stop driving after 11 hours of on duty time. There are numerous things that idiots don't consider when it comes to the trucking industry. Anytime your vehicle leaves your garage it is in harms way, things happen, low power lines, low tree limbs, gravel, thieves, road hazards. People need to think about what the drivers really have to do to deliver the product. Come on people give these guys a break, you go out and work your 40 hour week and say its a long one, these good ol' boys work a 70 hour week, and whats after 40 hours IS NOT OVERTIME!!! SO before you start bitching about a few chips in your paint, stop and think about what all that car has endured riding OVER TOP OR BEHIND 8 OPEN WHEELS/TIRES THAT THROW ROCKS, CAN BLOW OUT AND THROW RUBBER. You are taking a chance with whomever you decide to ship your vehicles with.
